Chateau chic

With New YorkLondon and Milan done and dusted quicker that you can say Chanel, it’s onwards to Paris to pray at the sartorial altar of McQueen and Lanvin (and Dior, Marant, the list goes on, but we digress…). For digs as designer as the catwalks’ couture, check in at the Saint James Hotel, a luxurious 100-year-old chateau complete with grand marble foyer and unwavering service. In homage to the city’s first airfield (on which it is built), the gorgeous grounds feature three towering hot air balloons amid lush greenery, perfect for admiring between sips on the alfresco terrace or from the fiery red-hued Restaurant and Library Bar. With 48 decadent suites to choose from, we say spring for the monochrome-chic Boudoir Room or deluxe three-storey Love Pavilion with private relaxation area and lounge, then flit over to the Gemology Spa for a mineral massage and a little pre-party rejuvenation that’ll have you red carpet-ready in no time. Fête!
