Not only have those luscious Lip clutches garnered a cult following from celebs and mortals alike, her capricious arm candy has also scored permanent museum space, as The Florist Basket has done at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. More than ever, toothsome openings have been coming thick and fast and it’s not just from high end, star chefs. Thankfully, the Brit-cap has also embraced casual, small-plates eateries, as LUXE faves like Terroirs and Polpo spawn siblings, but book ahead or dine early - these places are already rammed jammed, and you may still end up starving.

Alrighty hotel harlots, not content with our lowdown on London’s hottest boutique openings so far this year, we know you’re hankering for more. 2011 has equally been a bumper year for big chains old and new, from the high flying Four Seasons Park Lane to historic St. Pancras Renaissance, plus a couple of smaller luxury players in between (including a former Playboy Club that’s soon to give good bed), here are five more bowers making a splash in the British capital.
