Hell for leather at Pinel & Pinel
Here at LUXE, we’re always excited to find a man who’s good with his hands, and we like it even more when his services are made available to the public. Meet Fred Pinel, master craftsman and creator of deluxe, contemporary, hand-stitched leather luggage, trunks and accessories, who’s recently opened his first boutique, Pinel & Pinel, on rue Royal in Paris’ 8th arrondisement. So swish, c’est chic.

All good things come to and end, and alas, so must our month-long Grand Tour Competition with Grantourismo as we enter our fourth and final week. We loved the foodcentric entries this week, and after much back-and-forth debate at LUXE HQ, we’d like to send a big round of virtual congratulatory applause to Sandra of @romebuongiorno, who won our beautiful firecracker red LUXE Asian Grand Tour Box. Wat Pho is the stunning granddaddy of Bangkok temples, and unmissable for any traveller to the Big Mango. Laze and luxuriate
Luang Prabang, that magical, ancient town in the languid land of a Million Elephants, is all about slowing down and letting it all hang out (okay, maybe not all). Untouched it certainly is not, but thanks to its UNESCO Heritage Site status and development restrictions, it has yet to succumb to mass tourism. Accommodation wise, it’s all about boutique hotels, with nary a big chain in sight, and the latest to tickle our fancy is hillside hideaway Kiridara hotel. Lush!
